Since the launch of Google Workspace in October 2020, the platform has received numerous updates to enable secure collaboration from any location, including over 300 new features in 2022 alone. First, Google has Introduced annual plans for all Editions in this Update. This is Great for Organizations that are prepared to commit to a longer-term agreement and can benefit from Annual Plans, which provide customers with the opportunity to secure the lowest per-user price available.
Next, Google will be implementing a price increase for the Flexible Plan subscriptions. The Flexible Plan allows customers to pay as they go without any long-term commitment and provides the ability to add or remove user accounts as needed, making it a great option for businesses with a fluctuating workforce. The Annual Plan purchase option will be available for new customers via our website starting March 14, 2023, while existing Flexible Plan customers can switch to the Annual Plan via the Admin Console. The list prices for Google Workspace Business editions will be updated accordingly.

The third update pertains to Google Workspace Enterprise Standard, which will have a price increase to reflect the added value of the edition. This includes best-in-class security controls and administrative features tailored for large enterprises. No changes will be made to the list prices of the other Enterprise editions or education upgrades. Customers can reach out to their account managers if they have any inquiries.
In order to provide sufficient notice to our existing partners and customers, the updated pricing will be rolled out gradually starting from April of this year until 2024. The timing of the price changes will depend on several factors, including the number of user licenses, current contract terms, and payment plan. For instance, customers with Google Workspace subscriptions of 10 or fewer user licenses will not be affected until January 2024. We will inform our customers of these changes via the Google Workspace Admin Console at least 30 days in advance and provide them with detailed information to help them navigate the changes.
